A few weeks ago Cain Velasquez made his WWE debut alongside Rey Mysterio, and he immediately took the fight to Brock Lesnar.
It was recently reported that Velasquez has signed a multi-year deal with WWE, and he’s currently set to challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at Crown Jewel later this month.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the plan is to keep Cain Velasquez with Rey Mysterio through the end of the month.
In theory that would mean Cain Velasquez would end up on Raw, but Brock Lesnar is currently on SmackDown.
It’s been speculated that WWE probably won’t address Cain Velasquez’s status as a regular WWE Superstar until after the Brock Lesnar match at Crown Jewel.
