According to F4Wonline.com some of the finishes for WrestleMania 32 were finalized between 4 and 5pm local time. It was noted that a lot of production steps such as rehearsals and shooting were not done for this year’s show because WWE officials figured that plans would likely change the day of the event. The finish for the Intercontinental Championship ladder match was changed as Kevin Owens was originally supposed to retain his belt, but WWE officials made the switch and decided to go with Zack Ryder instead.
PWInsider is reporting that there was a lot of back and forth in regards to who would win the triple threat match at WrestleMania 32. It was between Sasha Banks and Charlotte and the decision to go with Charlotte was reportedly made a few days before WrestleMania. The new WWE Women’s Championship was also set to debut on Raw but WWE changed their plans when it was announced that the champions would appear on The Today Show the morning after Mania. WWE then decided to introduce the new WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 32 instead.
It was also noted by PWInsider that there was some speculation backstage that last night could have been The Undertaker’s last WrestleMania match. Apparently there were some friends and family watching the match that thought The Undertaker taking off his gloves could have had some sort of symbolic meaning. Please keep in mind, this is nothing more than speculation.
