Over the last few years more and more celebrities have been getting involved with WWE as we’ve seen with names like Bad Bunny, Jelly Roll and Pat McAfee. Now it seems that another celebrity could be added to the mix sooner than alter.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select is reporting that ESPN sources are “pleased and enthusiastic” about the idea of Stephen A. Smith getting involved with WWE’s partnership.
It’s being said that Smith has a good relationship with a number of TKO officials, and there is an expected payoff for his involvement, which has been expected and pitched for this summer.
Ahead of WrestleMania, Stephen A. Smith confirmed that he had talked to Nick Khan about an on screen role when he said, “I love it. I love it, and I want to applaud Pat McAfee for that. Because let me tell you something, they were talking to—I go back to the old days of Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan and people like that. I actually wanted to do that. Your man Nick Khan talked to me about that. See, the difference is, I’m not as courageous as Pat McAfee. I ain’t trying to get hit by one of them big boys, at all! I want no part of it, but I love that stuff because I think the sport needs it.”
