It only just occurred to some that since AJ Styles is WWE Champion we have the possibility of seeing something amazing happen in New Orleans. Vince McMahon might have never seen Styles vs Nakamura at New Japan’s Wrestle Kingdom 10, but I’m sure his writers have. I’m also certain a large amount of the WWE Universe has seen it at this point as well.

When Styles and Nakamura stood toe-to-toe in the ring in Italy during WWE’s European tour the only thing fans could chant at them was “WrestleMania.” They knew the match wasn’t happening in front of them. But they could only pray this kind of epic encounter would go down at the Show Of Shows.

With WrestleMania coming up faster than most might realize the possibility of Shinsuke Nakamura vs AJ Styles at the biggest pay-per-view event on WWE’s calendar seems even more promising. It’s enough to get us excited for sure.

As AJ Styles stood in the ring clutching his title, Nakamura obviously seemed like he was interested in locking horns as well. AJ Styles put his title down and said if Nakamura wanted to go at WrestleMania then that would be “too sweet.”

“That’s how you end a long tour like this” AJ Styles said before exiting up the ramp. He and The King Of Strong Style were on the same side that night as they faced Jinder Mahal in a triple threat match. After all, they’re both babyfaces. But a big-time matchup like Nakamura vs Styles would blur the line between babyface and heel because it’s something fans have been begging for since they both ended up on the same WWE brand.

Let’s just hope this tease isn’t the only time we’ll get a hint that this match is on the way. It needs to be a big deal if and when it happens. WrestleMania seems like the perfect place for it to go down if you ask me.
