AJ Styles officially joined WWE in 2016, and it didn’t take long for him to become one of the top stars in the company. When Styles debuted at the Royal Rumble he debuted to an entrance theme that has since become a favorite among fans.
The entrance them has become synonymous with The Phenomenal One, but during a recent interview with Inside The Ropes, AJ Styles revealed that it was originally made for James Storm.
“It wasn’t made for me. It was made for [James Storm]. And then I kind of explained what I’d like to [hear for my theme song], and it was that song that they presented.”
James Storm briefly worked with WWE when he wrestled a match in NXT in October of 2015. He went on to appear on NXT TV once again in December of 2015, but ultimately he decided to sign with Impact Wrestling instead of WWE. Even though there are some fans who will always wonder how a longer run with WWE would have gone for James Storm, it seems that everything worked out with the entrance music situation.
