AJ Styles has already appeared at two WrestleManias and it seems that he wants his third appearance at WrestleMania 34 to steal the show.
During a recent appearance on Edge and Christian’s Podcast of Awesomeness AJ was able to talk about his dream match and the fact that he wants to rekindle his rivalry with former NJPW star Shinsuke Nakamura.
Styles has even revealed that he has already approached WWE officials and told them just how important this feud is to him.
Styles and Nakamura have a storied history together from their days in New Japan and whilst they worked together a number of times and squared off in tag team matches, it will always be their showdown at Wrestle Kingdom 10 that the duo will be remembered for.
Their match stole the show that night and it seems that Styles wants their match at WrestleMania to steal the show as well, which is why he is pushing for the rivalry to be given the build up it deserves.
WrestleMania is still eight months away and it seems that the build up has already begun with little teases between the duo on episodes of SmackDown Live. It will be interesting to see if WWE allow these two stars to collide on the grandest stage of them all and steal WWE’s biggest show of the year.
For me personally this is the #2 match I wanna see at MANIA with Undertaker vs. Sting being my #1. I think WWE will Not see the potential this match has and probably will pass on it because they did the same thing with Taker vs. Sting. The only other match that needs to happen at MANIA someday is HHH vs. Shane McMahon, which I’m sure WWE will give a proper build for this match.
