The last few months have been exciting for some of the top names in AEW as they’ve been filled with twists and turns. MJF & Adam Cole formed a makeshift tag team thanks to the blind eliminator tournament, but since then they’ve become close friends, won the ROH Tag Team Championship, and MJF has seemingly turned face.
Collectively MJF & Adam Cole’s team is known as Better Than You Bay Bay and it sounds like the fans have really gotten behind them. Tony Khan discussed the popularity of Better Than You Bay Bay during the WrestleDream media call, and he explained that the team has sold an abundance of merchandise recently.
“You don’t have to hate him anymore because ‘he’s our scumbag.’ That’s something that has really been embraced by the fans and it’s shown because Better Than You Bay Bay have sold an ungodly amount of merchandise and they continue to rack up that merch money for us, which is awesome. They get these massive reactions and its befitting of a top star and, in this case, a fan favorite.”
