CM Punk spent the last few months sitting on the sidelines, but he recently returned to AEW programming. Punk kicked off AEW Dynamite last week and he got the world talking when he reportedly went off script and called out former AEW World Champion Adam Page. It was later reported that there seems to be real life tension between Page and Punk, and that there’s said to be backstage drama in AEW.
Punk’s CMFTR stablemate referenced rumors of Punk being unhappy when he posted a photo of himself with the AEW World Champion which included the following caption: “He gave me the ‘jobber jaw punch’ pose. And if you can’t tell, he’s VERY unhappy.”
CM Punk will be in action Wednesday night on Dynamite when he faces interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley in a title unification match. Dax Harwood will also be stepping into the ring when he goes one on one with Jay Lethal. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
