There’s never a good time for a Superstar to be injured, but luckily one former WWE Champion is set to return to Raw on Monday.
WWE has confirmed that Rey Mysterio will be appearing on Monday’s episode. Mysterio was forced to relinquish the US Title to Samoa Joe weeks ago due to a separated shoulder.
Samoa Joe has since lost the US Title to Ricochet, and is currently set to challenge Kofi Kingston for the WWE Title at Extreme Rules, so it will be interesting to see how Rey Mysterio fits into the mix.
WWE posted the following announcement:
“Due to the unbelievable set of circumstances that saw him forced to relinquish the United States Championship following a shoulder injury, Rey Mysterio will return to Raw this Monday night.
What will The Greatest Mask of All Time have to say upon his return and how will he impact the ever-changing landscape of the red brand? Find out when Raw goes down this Monday night at 8/7 C on USA Network.”
