On Tuesday night, Kevin Owens made his return to WWE when he showed up on SmackDown Live. Vince McMahon pulled Kofi Kingston from the WWE Title match at Fastlane next month, and he picked KO to be Kofi’s replacement.
Kevin Owens and Kofi Kingston later faced off against Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan in the main event, and Owens picked up the win for his team when he hit Daniel Bryan with the Stunner.
The Stunner of course is synonymous with the one and only “Stone Cold” Steve Austin at this point, and Kevin Owens recently tagged Austin in a tweet and joked that he “finally figured it out.”
Steve Austin reacted to Owens using the Stunner on SmackDown when he posted the following:
Highly effective. When executed properly the results are complete devastation. RT @briantheguppie: 1998 ☝️

Owens will be challenging Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at Fastlane next month, and it looks like the Stunner will be his finisher moving forward.
