Over a year ago AJ Styles defeated Jinder Mahal to win the WWE Championship for the second time in his career, and as champion he defended the title week after week.
But on Tuesday night, AJ’s title reign came to an end when Daniel Bryan turned heel and hit him with a low blow in the main event. Bryan defeated AJ and won the title, then he beat Styles down after the match.
Now it’s Daniel Bryan who will go on to face Brock Lesnar in the Champion vs. Champion match at Survivor Series on Sunday, but Bryan might want to watch his back, because AJ is out for revenge.
The former WWE Champion took to Twitter to send a message to Daniel Bryan and let him know that a receipt is coming.
The thing about being a real Champion, a reigning, DEFENDING champion is that any day someone can beat you. But holding the title is more than just wins and losses, it’s about who you are as a man.
Daniel showed us that last night.

With Daniel Bryan set to face Brock Lesnar on Sunday, it was speculated on Wrestling Observer Radio recently that AJ will likely challenge Bryan for the belt in some sort of gimmick match at TLC in December.
