Last year at WrestleMania 33, John Cena and Nikki Bella battled The Miz and Maryse in a mixed tag team match, and after they picked up the victory, Cena got down on one knee and proposed to Nikki Bella on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Luckily for John, she said yes, but unfortunately they won’t be getting married. Nikki and John have confirmed their relationship is over, and they released a joint statement to Us Weekly saying they still share a mutual respect.
“While this decision was a difficult one, we continue to have a great deal of love and respect for one another. We ask that you respect our privacy during this time in our lives.”
Even though this is a difficult time for John and Nikki, the 16 time WWE World Champion recently took to Twitter to share an inspirational message.
