Everyone loves Ric Flair. He is a hero to millions of people and many regard him as the greatest pro wrestler who ever lived. So naturally, when The Nature Boy has a health scare a lot of people get worried.
The nature of this situation is especially worrisome because it involved a medically induced coma and colon surgery. There was a lot of speculation regarding the situation, and reports of a heart related issue didn’t help matters much as people feared the worst.
There was a flood of support for Ric Flair and his daughter Charlotte recently commented on the influx of well-wishes for her family.
In her message, The Nature Girl said: “Hi guys, on behalf of my family and I, we want to thank everyone for the prayers, texts, calls and support. Our dad is a fighter and your continued thoughts and prayers mean the world to us. We will update everyone when we have more information.”
Charlotte flew in to Atlanta to be with family during this time. Dave Meltzer noted on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that he would be surprised to see Charlotte show up in Brooklyn for any of the SummerSlam activities.
NXT is holding a reunion of sorts and Charlotte Flair was expected to be one of the many main roster NXT alumni in attendance. Of course a lot of things can happen by Saturday but as of right now it wouldn’t be a big surprise to see Charlotte miss SummerSlam weekend so she could be with her family.
We need to keep giving Ric and his family all the love and good vibes we can during this time. As they said on Raw he’s “not out of the woods yet” but hopefully he’ll be back to stylin’ and profilin’ any day now.
