WrestleMania 33 has come and gone and the show was filled with highs and lows. There were some big moments such as the return of The Hardys, Shane McMahon’s match with AJ Styles, and The Undertaker’s farewell, but there were some underwhelming moments as well.
Now that WrestleMania season is over, WWE officials are putting plans together for WrestleMania 34 which is set to take place from New Orleans, LA, next year.
Shortly after WrestleMania 33 ended, it was reported that current plans call for Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar to face off at WrestleMania 34, and on Raw the night after Mania, Paul Heyman challenged Roman Reigns on behalf of Brock Lesnar. However, it looks like it will be a while before those two collide.
Raw’s WrestleMania 34 main event match seems to be all set, but many fans have been wondering what SmackDown Live will be bringing to the table next year at Mania.
SportsKeeda is reporting that current plans for the SmackDown Live WrestleMania 34 main event call for AJ Styles to face off against Shinsuke Nakamura on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles certainly aren’t strangers as they faced off at NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 10 in what many people considered to be the greatest match of 2016.
Fans have been hoping to see AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura face off in WWE ever since they both joined the company, and if this report turns out to be true it looks like the fans may get their wish.
