Last night’s Impact wrestling television taping might have been foretelling of the Hardy brother’s future with the company. Neither of them were featured on the show, and there wasn’t a mention made to them.
Their contracts are set to expire in February, which lead some to believe that their status with the newly acquired Anthem sports property might be coming to an end. They appeared at other television tapings this week for future broadcasts, but it is interesting to note that they never dropped the TNA tag team titles in the process.
They appeared on a television taping on Wednesday where the Broken One cut a promo stating that they were on an ‘Expedition of Gold’ while explaining that they had the power to teleport between promotions. He teased the fact that they could go to “the Honorable Ring” to face the Bucks of Youth or the “Meekmahan show”. The Broken One went on to say that they had updated their drone Vanguard 1 with teleportation powers and when he touched it, the lights blinked off. When the lights came back on, they were gone.
The Hardys are scheduled to take on the Young Bucks at a ROH show on April 1st in Lakeland, Florida the night before Wrestlemania 33 in Orlando. It was recently reported that TNA is trying to sign the Hardys to exclusive deals, and WWE is also interested in signing Matt and Jeff Hardy.
TNA doesn’t have another television taping scheduled until March, so if they want to work something out with the Hardys, it’s not out of the picture just yet.
