Shortly after Cody Rhodes parted ways with WWE, it was announced that he would be joining his former SummerSlam opponent, Stephen Amell, in an episode of “Arrow.” Cody played a character named Derek Sampson, but it remains to be seen if Sampson will ever return to the show.

As far as his acting future goes, Cody Rhodes has his eye on another comic book show. It was recently announced that Marvel’s “The Inhumans” will be coming to IMAX screens and ABC in the fall of 2017, and Cody told Bleeding Cool he’s trying to land the role of Black Bolt.

“I will fully disclose that I have been actively pursuing a couple of roles, that being one. I now have uprooted, moved to LA, to look into acting more, especially after the Arrow episode and all that. So that would be the world to me if that were to happen. And we’re actively looking into it. I’m all about it. Black Bolt is like one of the best characters in all comics. The idea that a simple, spoken word could blow a room up is just… I dig everything that is Black Bolt.”

Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano won the NXT Tag Team Titles at NXT Takeover: Toronto, and the team recently spoke to ESPN about their big win. During the interview they also talked about saying goodbye to the indies and more. You can check out a quote below along with the full interview here.

“When we started with NXT, there were no issues as far as taking independent bookings,” Ciampa said. “Then we could kind of sense it was getting to that point, and then once we got confirmation [of going full-time in the WWE] but the news wasn’t made public, I think [for] both of us, that was the hardest part. It was four or five weeks of us knowing this is probably our last time in this town for this federation, for this group, but the fans didn’t know. A lot of times our opponents didn’t know. The promoters didn’t know. That was a tough four-to-six-week stretch, but once the announcement was made, it was just … fun. I enjoyed those last eight to 12 independent bookings, just took them and appreciated them for what they were.”
