SmackDown Live kicked off in a big way as Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan called the SmackDown roster to the ring at the beginning of the show. They announced that a six-pack challenge match will take place later in the show to determine the number 1 contender for the WWE Championship.
Shane and Daniel announced that John Cena, Bray Wyatt, Dolph Ziggler, Baron Corbin and AJ Styles will all be part of the match. Daniel Bryan then announced that a battle royal will be held to determine the sixth entrant.
The winner of the six-pack challenge will go on to face Dean Ambrose at SummerSlam.
