The wrestling world unfortunately lost another great performer last month when Benjamin Satterly, better known to wrestling fans as PAC, passed away. People from all throughout the industry took to social media to send their condolences and The Rock also posted a video in which he talked about PAC’s passing.

In the video The Rock mentioned AEW when he said, “As global as professional wrestling is, as global as WWE is, as much as AEW is growing into this phenomenal wrestling company, and wherever you’re wrestling at around the world, we’re still a very tight knit unit and a tight knit group because we all share the same DNA. But when we lose one of our own, it hurts. And when they’re young and so insanely talented, it really f*****g hurts.”

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that not a week has gone by without at least one person from WWE bringing up the video The Rock posted following PAC’s death. It was noted that everyone understood The Rock mentioning PAC, but his praise for Tony Khan has been a talking point, and apparently some of that sting has not gone away.

At one point The Rock was advertised to appear at the recent WWE tryouts in Hawaii. However, he wasn’t there and there was no advertising for him for a while now.

Dave Meltzer speculated that while everyone has their theories, the video might not have been anything more than The Rock expressing his affinity for the wrestling business, and wanting to send condolences to the wrestlers and people that worked for the same company PAC was working for at the time of his passing.
