Booker T has been in the professional wrestling business for decades and throughout his career he’s taken on a lot of different roles. He’s worked as an in-ring performer, a General Manager, and he’s currently doing commentary for the NXT brand.
Event though Booker T has been around for a long time he recently explained on his Hall of Fame podcast that he doesn’t have a lot of friends in the business. The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion also shared details about his relationship with Triple H while revealing that while things are good between them, they simply have what he considers to be a business relationship.
“I don’t have a lot of friends in the wrestling business. I got a few, but I don’t have a lot of friends because I wasn’t there to make friends. I had a lot of cool associates. Even now people talk about Hunter and I, and our relationship. Hunter and I, we’ve always had a strong relationship, but it’s always been business.”
“I’ve never looked at this like it was, ‘Hey, we’re buddies. We’re friends,’ or anything like that. Because this thing comes and goes. It’s here, and it’s gone tomorrow. And if you don’t understand that and treat it that way, you can really be upset at the end of the day. I never want to be one of those guys.”
