WWE Friday Night SmackDown aired live from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, CA and the rivalry between R-Truth and Damian Priest continued. The two former partners faced off in a singles match that apparently did not go according to plan.
During the match R-Truth connected with a missile dropkick off the top rope, but he landed awkwardly and did not get back up. The referee checked on Truth for a moment then Priest approached Truth and the referee backed him off. The ref then threw up the dreaded X and called for the bell.

As medical officials were checking on R-Truth, Damian Priest grabbed a steel chair and made it look like he was going to attack Truth, but Fraxiom made their way out to the ring to make the save.
Damian Priest then dropped the chair and made his way to the back. R-Truth was still on the mat being checked on by the medical staff as Damian Priest made his way to the back. False Finish is reporting that the referee stoppage was legitimate and that was not the way the match was supposed to end.
