Money in the Bank is one of WWE’s most anticipated events of the year and over the weekend the show aired live from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, LA.
The women’s Money in the Bank ladder match was the second match on the card, and Tiffany Stratton ended up becoming a two time Money in the Bank winner when she grabbed the briefcase. The men’s Money in the Bank ladder match main evented the show and saw Penta win a Money in the Bank contract for the first time in his career.
False Finish is reporting that Roxanne Perez and Bron Breakker were originally scheduled to win their respective Money in the Bank ladder matches before WWE ultimately decided that Tiffany Stratton and Penta would be winning.
Following his big victory at Money in the Bank, Penta kicked off Monday Night Raw this week as he introduced the world to his new custom briefcase complete with pyro. Penta also sent a message to the World Heavyweight Champion and Undisputed WWE Champion when he let them know that he could be cashing in at any time.
