The Rock Not Expected To Wrestle At WWE WrestleMania 43

The Rock has been one of the most popular stars in the wrestling world for decades now, but it’s been a while since he’s done anything with WWE. The Final Boss last stepped into the ring at WrestleMania 40, and he last appeared on WWE programming at the Elimination Chamber premium live event in 2025.

With WrestleMania 43 being held in Saudi Arabia next year there’s been a lot of speculation regarding The Rock potentially being part of the event. However, Vin Diesel recently confirmed that the next Fast and Furious movie is set to begin filming in December, and The Rock is expected to be part of the cast.

Dave Meltzer recently shared an update on The Rock’s status for WrestleMania 43 on Wrestling Observer Radio, and he noted that it’s unlikely the former WWE Champion will be wrestling at the Show of Shows due to the film’s production schedule.

“Because that movie is gonna take months to film, if he is in it, which he is scheduled to be in it, that him doing a match at WrestleMania would be out the window. I mean, could he fly to Saudi Arabia and show up? Of course. Of course he could, and he could always do that.

I know that the Saudis really wanted him to wrestle on that show next year, and if they offer enough money, there may be a way, but I don’t know where he’s gonna get time to train when he’s doing a movie like that. And I don’t see him doing something in the ring without training.

Meltzer went on to say that to get The Rock to do anything involving WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia it would take a giant amount of money, and it was also noted that The Rock would not want to go into it unprepared as he’s previously trained hard when he returned in the past. At this point and appearance seems more likely than The Rock stepping into the ring for a match.
