It’s been a big year for CM Punk as he main evented WrestleMania for the second time in his career and he walked into the Show of Shows as the World Heavyweight Champion. Punk returned to WWE back in July and he captured the Undisputed WWE Championship when he defeated Sami Zayn in his first match since WrestleMania.

In the weeks leading up to CM Punk’s return there was a lot of talk about his physique. Ryan Nemeth even went as far as to seemingly accuse Punk of taking steroids, and now Punk’s trainer has weighed in.

Jay Ferrugia recently posted a new video on Instagram in which he denied the CM Punk steroid allegations, and also called out the people who are making the claims.

“CM Punk is on steroids, or so says the weak-minded, lazy internet. CM Punk is working his a** off. From day one, when he reached out to me, he has done every single thing that I’ve asked him to do,

In 30 years in this business, CM Punk is working as hard as anyone I’ve ever worked with. He’s as dedicated as anyone. And you want to sit here and post after post, ‘CM Punk is on steroids, blah, blah.’ Meanwhile, half these pictures are AI, and the other half are from being in the gym with great lighting, with a great pump.

He’s gotten significantly leaner, so when you get leaner, you look bigger, and he’s training in a different way. So, just because someone’s getting somewhere and accomplishing something that you can’t doesn’t mean they are taking shortcuts and cheating. You are just lazy.”

CM Punk is expected to appear on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown in Boston as he continues his feud with Kevin Owens. Stay tuned for updates.
