The WWE roster is constantly changing as a number of wrestlers were let go over the last few months, and the company has also recently been signing some notable names as well.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select is reporting that WWE sources expect former TNA Wrestling World Champion Mike Santana to join the company before the send of the summer. Sources pointed to the strong relationships Santana built when he was making appearances on NXT while he was still under contract with TNA Wrestling.
The internal belief is that Mike Santana already has an authentic connection with the WWE Universe, and it’s being said that this has only strengthened his standing with the company. One source noted that it would be a surprise if Santana didn’t arrive in WWE relatively soon.
Mike Santana last stepped into the ring at the Slammiversary pay-per-view in June when he defended the TNA Wrestling World Championship against Nic Nemeth. Ultimately it was Nemeth who picked up the victory and walked away with the gold.
Recently Santana seemingly teased that he would become a free agent on 7/15, so it will be interesting to see how soon he shows up on WWE programming.
