Booker T has been in the professional wrestling business for a long time and throughout the course of his career the former World Heavyweight Champion has faced off against a wide variety of opponents.
Booker and Fit Finlay certainly aren’t strangers as they’ve crossed paths in WCW and WWE. Fit Finlay is known for working stiff, but it sounds like he might have crossed a line with Booker T on at least one occasion.
While talking about working with Fit Finlay on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T noted that at one point one of Finlay’s kicks caught him in the kidney area. Once they got behind the curtain Booker made it clear that if it happened again he and Finlay would be fighting.
“I didn’t mind stiff, but I needed safe at the same time. And I remember working a match with Fit Finlay, and he snapped me and kicked me in the back, but he caught me, like, in the kidney area. Man, it really hurt, man. It really, really hurt.”
“I remember telling him when he came back through the curtain, I said, ‘Bro, kick me like that again, you know, we’re going to be fighting, you know, next time when you come back through the curtain.’”
