WWE SummerSlam is only a few weeks away and the card for the show has been coming together recently. Ahead of SummerSlam the stars of WWE will be heading to New York City this weekend for Saturday Night’s Main Event which will feature four matches.
Paige & Brie Bella will be defending the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley of Fatal Influence at the event, but that apparently was not the original plan for the match.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match was originally planned for the SummerSlam card. However, WWE decided to move the match to Saturday Night’s Main Event instead. More matches are expected to be added to the lineup for SummerSlam in the weeks to come.
WWE SummerSlam will air live from US Bank Stadium on Saturday, August 1st and Sunday, August 2nd. The current card can be seen below.
