Last year WWE decided to expand SummerSlam to two nights as the show emanated from MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The company sold a combined total of 113,722 tickets across both nights last year, but ticket sales seem to be moving much slower this year with SummerSlam only three weeks away.

WrestleTix is reporting that 22,069 tickets have been sold for night 1 of SummerSlam on Saturday, August 1st, while 23,809 tickets have been sold for night 2 on Sunday, August 2nd. Currently US Bank Stadium is set up for 29,535 seats for SummerSlam, but can be extended up to 72,287 if needed.

So far four matches have been announced for SummerSlam, and CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship is expected to be added to the lineup. It was recently reported that WWE officials are looking to make SummerSlam bigger than WrestleMania 42. Earlier this year ticket sales for WrestleMania 42 were also a hot topic as the show lagged behind WrestleMania 41 when it came to the total number of tickets sold for the show.

SummerSlam will air live from US Bank Stadium on Saturday, August 1st and Sunday, August 2nd. The current card for the event can be seen below.
