WrestleMania 42 has come and gone and the show emanated from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada for the second year in a row. Next year the event will take place in Saudi Arabia for the first time ever, and now it seems that a bid has already been placed for WrestleMania 44 in 2028.
Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Nashville has put in a big for $3.5 million dollars to bring WrestleMania 44 to the city in 2028. Alvarez writes, “Nashville has put in a bid for WrestleMania 2028, $3.5 million dollars plus tax breaks.”
It’s certainly no big secret that the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp has been hoping to bring the Show of Shows to Nashville for some time now. Back in November of 2022 it was reported that Butch Spyridon, CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp, had received a verbal commitment from WWE to host WrestleMania in 2027 provided that the new Nissan Stadium was built within the next five years. However, the group recently confirmed that “the date didn’t work out, and we are looking at future years.”
While it remains to be seen at this point in time if WrestleMania 44 will take place in Nashville, Nick Khan recently teased that the company has a potential location in mind during a recent town hall meeting when he said, “Wait until you hear the announcement on where we’re going to be for WrestleMania in 2028.”
