It’s always unfortunate when a WWE star gets released from their contract and last week over two dozen wrestlers were cut from the main roster and NXT. Kairi Sane was among the names who were released from the company and the wrestling world has been processing the news over the last few days.
Following Kairi’s release from WWE, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion was released because she wanted to return to Japan.
Talk of Kairi’s status has been making the rounds on social media throughout the day, and she responded to the speculation when she posted the following:
