Sol Ruca faced off against Zaria in a last woman standing match that main evented night 2 of NXT Revenge this week, and it was Zaria who picked up the win. In the closing moments of the match Zaria pushed Sol Ruca off a platform that was 15 feet in the air, and Sol was sent crashing down to two tables that were set up on the floor below.
Unfortunately for Sol Ruca she only went through one of the tables and hit her head on the other one. Sol recently confirmed that she was busted open from hitting her head on the table and she needed eight staples to close the wound.
During a recent appearance on The Mark Hoke Show Pro Wrestling Radio show Kendal Grey was asked about the backstage reaction to the table spot, and she noted that Sol Ruca was in a positive mindset when she got backstage.
“Honestly, back there we were all watching, we were speechless. We didn’t know how to react in that moment. Then when she came back, she has a towel on her head, and she’s like, ‘Heck yeah!’ She’s awesome, but definitely a scary moment for all of us, and concern for her, and obviously that could be really, really bad. It was bad, but it could always be worse. So, knowing that she came back with a positive mind, and smiling and stuff was a good reassuring moment because all of us were scared.”
Sol Ruca appeared on Monday Night Raw earlier this week, and she recently confirmed that she’s finished up with NXT when she shared an Instagram post along with a caption which said, “Thank you NXT, it’s been real.”
