We’re heading into WrestleMania weekend and some of the biggest stars in the business are set to be in Las Vegas for the festivities. Major names such as Steve Austin, AJ Styles, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes and more will be meeting fans at WWE World throughout the weekend, and originally Kevin Owens was being advertised for the event.
A few days ago WWE started sending out emails informing fans that Kevin Owens was no longer able to make it to WWE World, so their photo ops and autograph signings were canceled.
While talking about Kevin Owens’ status on the Fightful post-Raw show Sean Ross Sapp noted that KO being pulled from WWE World wasn’t anything salacious, it simply wasn’t a good time.
“I was told that like him being pulled from [WWE] world isn’t anything salacious. It’s just it wasn’t a good time, so they they pulled him.”
Owens has been out of action for over a year now and he was originally supposed to face Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41 last year before he revealed he was dealing with a career threatening injury. The former Universal Champion has since undergone neck fusion surgery and is expected to be reevaluated this summer.
Stay tuned for more updates on KO’s status as they become available.
