This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw is set to air live from the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, TX and the show just so happens to fall on 3/16. With Raw taking place on 3/16 many fans have wondered if Steve Austin could show up for a special 3:16 Day celebration.
Recently The Texas Rattlesnake spoke with The Takedown on SI about his status for the show, and he claimed that he will be hunkered down in his garage preparing for an upcoming race.
“They should tune in because they love WWE and Monday Night Raw. I’ll be a few days out from that race and the race that I’m talking about with my racing career and we’re trying to get that car ready and we’re working our a**es off.
So, yeah, I’ll be hunkered down in a garage out here in BFE, Nevada trying to get this buggy ready to race this grueling 250-mile race with everybody else that I race with, so I want to get out there and put my own show on out there in the desert.”
Unless Austin is simply trying to throw fans off ahead of a surprise appearance it seems that he won’t be at Raw this week. The former WWE Champion has not appeared on WWE programming since he appeared at WrestleMania 41, but he will be in Las Vegas for WrestleMania weekend as he’s currently being advertised for WWE World.
