Dominik Mysterio took his career to the next level last year at WrestleMania when he won the Intercontinental Championship. He then went on to win the belt a second time when he defeated John Cena at Survivor Series back in November. Unfortunately for Dominik his run with the Intercontinental Championship came to an end earlier this month when he dropped the belt to Penta.
While talking about his future plans on The Collection with Brad Gilmore, Dominik Mysterio stated that he wants his Intercontinental Championship back, and he’s willing to put his hair on the line against Penta’s mask.
“So, first things first, I got to retain my AAA Mega Championship this Saturday at Rey de Reyes, which obviously I will. Not a problem.
But I think going into it, I want my IC championship back. I don’t care what I have to do. I know Penta is an ugly, ugly dude, so I’m willing to put my hair up on the line against his mask and that IC championship if he’s more than willing to. I’ll even put up my mustache, whatever it takes to get my IC title back.
Because at the end of the day, I’ve beat this dude probably seven or eight times already. He got lucky on that last one because of Finn Bálor’s dumba**. But anyways, I would like to walk in as a double champ, or walk out as a double champ of WrestleMania.”
At this point in time it’s not clear what WWE has planned for Dominik at WrestleMania, but following this week’s episode of Raw all signs seem to be pointing toward a Dominik Mysterio vs. Finn Balor match on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
