It’s WrestleMania season and you never know who might return to WWE on the road to the Show of Shows. Over the last few years Pat McAfee has typically appeared on WWE programming during WrestleMania season, but he has yet to return to the company since he stepped away last year.
Recently a fan on Instagram asked Pat McAfee if there are any plans for a WWE return, and he indicated that at this point in time it’s not something that’s been lined up.
“Don’t ever say never, especially with WWE, but right now it does not feel like it is something that’s supposed to happen. Feels like that business has kind of passed me by a little bit. I grew up loving it. Dreamed of working it. I feel honored that I had the opportunity to work alongside the GOAT, Michael Cole. I feel like business in good spot without me, and I’ll continue to watch.”

It’s always possible that McAfee is lying to try and throw fans off ahead of a potential return, but there’s no way of knowing for sure until that happens. Last year Pat McAfee was pretty open about the fact that he was burnt out from taking on too many projects, so we’ll have to wait and see if he is able to return at some point in the future.
