Last year Brock Lesnar shocked the world when he made his big return to WWE at SummerSlam. Since then Brock Lesnar has wrestled a few matches for the company as he defeated John Cena at WrestlePalooza and later teamed up with The Vision and Drew McIntyre for the men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series.
As of this writing Brock’s next appearance on WWE programming has not been officially announced, but with WrestleMania season quickly approaching it’s probably safe to say that we’ll be seeing him sooner than later.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that it’s possible we could see Gunther vs. Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42 as WWE had plans for the match two different times, but it didn’t end up happening.
The first time the match was planned the plans were changed months out as there was a feeling that Gunther hadn’t peaked yet and it would be better off if the match didn’t happen at that time. WWE started planning the match again in 2024 with the idea that Gunther had peaked, but plans were changed due to the Janel Grant lawsuit.
It’s also being reported that Brock Lesnar is expected for the Royal Rumble premium live event in Saudi Arabia later this month. Gunther and Lesnar previously had a high profile stand off in the 2023 men’s Royal Rumble match, but the potential feud has not been revisited since then.
