CM Punk shocked the world in November of 2023 when he returned to WWE at Survivor Series. Since then CM Punk has been featured as one of the top stars in the company, but it’s clear that the former WWE Champion has more matches behind him than he does in front of him.
While talking about his future on Pardon My Take, CM Punk made it clear that he knows he can’t wrestle forever, and he also shared some insight regarding other roles he could potentially step into once he hangs up the boots for good.
“I think I’m that five-tool player. You can put me on commentary. I could ref. That probably wouldn’t work, I’d probably take some attention away from whoever’s in the ring. But there’s so many behind-the-scenes roles.
“We call them producers now but in my day we called them agents. There’s people who put shows together. There’s writers obviously, creative people. I love all aspects of the business. There’s like 1000 hats I could wear once I’m crippled and I can’t go anymore.”
CM Punk will be in action this weekend as he’s currently set to team up with AJ Lee to take on Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at WrestlePalooza on September 20th.
Stay tuned for updates.
