Advanced negotiations for The Rock to main event the show are reportedly taking place, and now it seems that another big name could be part of WrestleMania 43 as well.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Steve Austin is also being talked about for WrestleMania 43, but has not been confirmed for the show. At this point the word from the Saudi Arabia side is that they’ve been told by WWE and/or Steve Austin that he wants to make sure he is healthy and physically ready to do a match.

It was noted that Steve Austin has great pride and was happy with the idea that his match with Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38 would be his last. Austin turned down an appearance at WrestleMania 40 which would have seen attack The Rock before Cody Rhodes beat Roman Reigns in the main event. When Austin turned it down The Undertaker was put in the spot instead.

Steve Austin last appeared on WWE programming back in April when he announced the night two attendance at WrestleMania 41. Stay tuned for more updates on his status as they become available.
