WWE Bad Blood is quickly approaching and Sami Zayn has been trying to talk Gunther into a title match for weeks now. Sami Zayna and Gunther met in the middle of the ring this week on Raw, and a one on one match for the title was finally confirmed for WWE Bad Blood.
Zayn made his way out to confront Gunther who said that Sami Zayn isn’t on his level. Sami mentioned that he beat Gunther at WrestleMania. Zayn told Gunther that he’s scared he will beat him again if he challenges him for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
The Ring General said Sami is right, he’s afraid, but he’s not afraid of Sami, he’s afraid of what it would do to his reputation. He told Sami that losing to him was the biggest embarrassment of his whole career. Gunther told Sami that he flew his family out to WrestleMania, and after he lost he had to look his father in the eye. He said his father questioned why he flew out to WrestleMania just to see his son lose to Sami Zayn.
Sami told Gunther that he crumbled after he was defeated at WrestleMania, and never asked for a rematch because his dad made him feel like a loser. Zayn said now he’s proving to his dad he’s a coward, so Gunther clotheslined Sami. The Ring General followed up with a powerbomb to put Sami down then he grabbed the mic and his WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt.
Gunther looked down at Sami and told him he’s got his match at WWE Bad Blood.
