You never know when you might see a big return on WWE programming and Drew McIntyre made his return to TV at Money in the Bank earlier this month. McIntyre has been making appearances on Raw, but it doesn’t sound like we’ll be seeing him on next week’s show.

PWInsider is reporting that Drew McIntyre is set to miss Monday Night Raw next week because he has landed a role in Dave Bautista’s new film The Killer’s Game.

Drew McIntyre was approached for the role and then he brought the idea to WWE. The company gave him the approval to take time off to work on the film and Drew McIntyre’s parts are set to be filmed next week. It’s been confirmed that McIntyre will be missing next week’s episode of Raw, but it’s not clear if he’ll be missing any additional time beyond that.

The plot of the film is that Dave Bautista’s character is a hired assassin who takes out a contract on himself after learning he’s terminally ill. He then has to fight off the other assassins coming to collect on the contract when he finds out his diagnosis is incorrect.

It’s being said that Ice Cube has a big role in the film which also includes other names such as Sofia Boutella (Rebel Moon), Ben Kingsley (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), Pom Klementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy), Scott Adkins (John Wick Chapter 4), Shaina West (The Woman King), Lucy Cork (Black Widow), Daniel Bernhardt (Extraction 2), Lee Hoon (The Love is Coming) and Marko Zaror (Fist of the Condor).
