It’s been a big weekend for WWE as the roster traveled to San Juan, Puerto Rico for the Backlash premium live event to perform in front of an electric crowd. Bad Bunny returned to the ring for a street fight with Damian Priest and he managed to pick up a victory over his former tag team partner.
The match featured a lot of interference as The Judgment Day came out to attack Bad Bunny, so Carlito, Savio Vega and the LWO decided to back Bad Bunny up. It seems that Bad Bunny’s WWE appearances have been a major success so far, and the WRKD Wrestling account is reporting that the comapny is hoping he will return for SummerSlam in some form.
“In case it wasn’t apparent, Bad Bunny’s (@sanbenito) #Backlash match absolutely exceeded expectations backstage with many superstars lined up at Gorilla to celebrate with him.
There’s hopes backstage in using him in some form for #SummerSlam.”

There’s currently no word on whether or not Bad Bunny would be wrestling at SummerSlam if he does return, or who he could be working with, but it will be interesting to see if he’s part of the event.
SummerSlam will take place from Ford Field on Saturday, August 5. Stay tuned for updates.
