This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite took place from Winnipeg and it was rumored that we could be seeing a debut on the show. TBS Champion Jade Cargill made her way to the ring for a title match and she defended her belt against Nicole Matthews.
The match didn’t last long at all as Jade Cargill squashed Nicole Matthews then put her away with Jaded to retain her TBS Championship. After the match a graphic showing that Cargill is now 54-0 in AEW flashed on the screen.
After the match Renee Paquette interviewed Jade Cargill and asked what kind of competition she’s looking for. Cargill then got in Renee’s face, backed her up into a corner and asked, “Aren’t you from Canada?”
As Jade Cargill was intimidating Renee Paquette in the corner Taya Valkyrie’s music hit and Taya made her way down to the ring. Taya stood face to face with Jade Cargill and they talked trash for a minute before Jade left the ring. Leila Grey then tried to attack Taya from behind, but Taya took her down and stood tall to end the segment.
Taya Valkyrie recently finished up with Impact Wrestling. She had been rumored for Dynamite this week and it looks like the rumors were true. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
