The Rock is without a doubt one of the most well known professional wrestlers to ever step foot in the ring and throughout the course of his career he was lucky enough to win championship gold multiple times. Even though he’s best known for his work as a singles competitor The Rock also won championship gold in the tag team division.
When The Rock was working as Flex Kavana in the United States Wrestling Association he managed to win the USWA Tag Titles twice with Bart Sawyer, and Dan Lambert recently explained on Talk Is Jericho that The Rock got emotional when he gifted him the USWA Tag Team Title belt.
“I actually had the first title The Rock ever held for a while, which was the USWA Tag Title. And he came to our gym to film some reality show he was doing — MMA-related — and I actually gave him that belt. And he was like in tears getting that first belt. It meant that much to him.”
Dan Lambert had a consistent presence on AEW programming for some time working as a manager for America’s Top Team and the Men of the Year. Lambert confirmed last fall that he asked to be pulled from TV because he felt that his storyline had run its course and he didn’t want to overstay his welcome. However, the door is open for him to return to AEW at any time if the right idea is presented to him.
