Over the last few years All Elite Wrestling has introduced several championship belts, and since the beginning there’s been talk of the company creating trios title belts.
It looks like the company will indeed be moving forward with plans for a trios championship as it was recently reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the belts have been made.
“Trios title belts have been made so now it’s just a matter of when they pull the trigger. Tony Khan was asked about making trios titles and gave the indication a few months ago what it was happening, but that they didn’t want to do the tournament until Kenny Omega was back.”
As of right now there’s no word on when AEW might introduce the belts, so it will be interesting to see if the company does indeed wait for Kenny Omega to return. Omega has been out of action ever since he dropped the AEW World Title to Adam Page at Full Gear back in November of 2021. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
