Recently WWE released a number of talents including Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Buddy Murphy, Santana Garrett, Ruby Riott, and Lana. Several of the names were surprising to many fans, one example being Lana, as she’s had a pretty consistent presence on TV working with Naomi in the women’s tag team division.
Fightful Select reports that earlier this year WWE had significantly different plans for Lana before Charlotte Flair made her return to television.
According to the report, Vince McMahon personally assured Lana that it would not be the end of the Lana character, and that there would be more for her.
It’s also being said that if Lana didn’t have anything going on creatively then it wasn’t for lack of her trying. Lana and Naomi would constantly make sure that they were doing something by following up about their creative direction.
After her release Lana reacted when she posted the following on Twitter:
