Over the last few months crossovers have been all the rage in the world of professional wrestling, and it was recently reported by Dave Meltzer that WWE president Nick Khan has been in talks with NJPW about the company becoming WWE’s exclusive American partner. It was noted that the two companies have been in talks for months, but it’s now known if the talks will go anywhere.
Now PWInsider is reporting that NJPW and WWE have been in talks for months, but the possibility of Daniel Bryan wrestling some dates in NJPW was said to be the main reason for the talks. It’s not known if anything has come from the discussions between the two sides.
It was noted that it’s possible a bridge could be built between the two companies, but it’s not something that is happening right now.
The situation with NJPW and WWE is reportedly not a case where fans should expect NJPW to stop working with other companies and start sending talents to Raw.
AEW star Jon Moxley is the current IWGP United States Champion, and Satoshi Kojima recently made his debut with Impact Wrestling. NJPW is not expected to change their working relationship with other companies anytime soon.
