Since losing the AEW World Tag Team Titles Kenny Omega and “Hangman” Adam Page have gone their separate ways, and both men have returned to singles competition.
Kenny Omega has been working hard to establish himself as a force to be reckoned with over the last few weeks, and he’s upped his game in terms of presentation with an extended introduction courtesy of Justin Roberts as he makes his entrance.
While introducing Kenny Omega Justin Roberts lists many of his accolades, and he also makes reference to the state of North Carolina, which has confused some people.
Lance Storm recently asked if the North Carolina reference is some kind of inside joke, and Kenny Omega responded by telling Storm that it’s actually a reference to famed basketball legend Michael Jordan.
Hate to share industry secrets but it’s a tribute to the Chicago Bulls and how they treated Michael Jordan making his entrance.

Last weekend Kenny Omega faced off against Adam Page in the finals of the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament, and he defeated his former tag team partner.
Omega will get his chance to challenge AEW World Champion Jon Moxley for his belt when they face off on the December 2nd episode of Dynamite. Stay tuned for updates.
