WWE has had to make some adjustments due to the coronavirus pandemic, and weeks ago the company moved all their TV tapings to the Performance Center in Orlando.
The TV tapings have been heavily criticized, but recently the Florida state Governor’s office deemed WWE an essential business.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter there are talents in the company who have expressed concerns.
There are also others who recognize the risks, and are concerned, but have said that they don’t think there’s a good solution, including shutting down, because of the economical issues a shut down would create.
As we previously reported, an anonymous WWE employee filed a comment with the Orange County Board of County Commissioners saying that employees were being forced to work, and they feared that they would lose their job if they spoke up.
WWE issued the following statement in response to the comment:
“These accusations aren’t true. Employees know they can confidentially go to Human Resources, not the public. Notwithstanding the appropriate protocol, no one would be fired if they were uncomfortable with their surroundings. We’ve made accommodations for individuals upon request.”
