It’s no big secret that WWE officials have been trying to lock down their Superstars by signing them to multi-year deals, but not everyone is interested in staying with the company.
Matt Hardy’s contract is set to expire on 3/1, and recently he’s teased that he could be making the jump to All Elite Wrestling.
Hardy was seemingly written off TV after he was attacked by Randy Orton on Raw, and he followed up with a tweet that got a lot of people talking, including Jerry Lawler who addressed Matt’s status on The Jerry Lawler Show.
It [the tweet] started out as ‘Against Every Warning, I showed up at RAW.’ And the first three words ‘against every warning, were all capitalized. So, if you really look, if you really looked at the tweet. The first three words started with AEW.”
Lawler went on to say that he doubts Matt is going to sign a new WWE contract.
“I doubt if he’s gonna sign back with with WWE. And, you know, I think he’s trying to let everybody know that he may be going to AEW but I’m…I don’t know. I don’t know for sure. There’s probably still negotiations going on between those two [Hardy and WWE].”
Do you think Matt should stick with WWE or jump to AEW? Sound off in the comments below.
