PennLive.com has an article here about a 20 year old man named Brandon Scott Hoffman who killed his girlfriend’s child with a WWE finishing move. Hoffman told police he hit the Rock Bottom twice on the child and slammed him onto a bed. He then attempted The Last Ride and missed the bed and the boy’s head hit the floor which then caused him to become unresponsive.

WWE issued the following statement:

“There is no excuse for a 20-year-old grown man to assault an 18-month old child, no matter what,” said the WWE. Using a flimsy excuse about emulating a wrestling maneuver does not absolve Brandon Hoffman of this abhorrent crime. The death of Bryson Shoemaker is a tragedy, and WWE offers its condolences to the child’s mother, Sierra Shoemaker.”

  1. Do the words “Please don’t try this at home” mean anything to anybody? It’s one thing for someone to perform finishers into a pool, although I don’t condone that either, but it’s called sports entertainment for a reason. The wrestlers are trained professionals that have done this for years. If you’re not in the WWE, don’t perform the moves. I am extremely saddened about what happened. No infant deserves this, accidental or not. Throw this man in prison for murder.

  2. So what makes him think doing this was right in any way possible. He should be jailed. No child deserves to be manhandled. WWE should not be held liable for any of this but for some reason I believe they will try to pin this on them too…
