Brock Lesnar is the current WWE Champion, and he’s currently set to enter the men’s Royal Rumble match as the number one entrant.
Lesnar is likely to have a big night, but it sounds like he’s already been involved in some interesting backstage drama.
According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, The Beast was involved in a backstage verbal altercation with NXT star Matt Riddle at the Royal Rumble.
The report notes that Matt Riddle and Brock Lesnar passed each other backstage at the Rumble and their encounter was said to be tense. A source noted that Brock saw Matt Riddle and wanted to know the reality of the situation between them.
Matt has said openly in the past that he wants to retire Brock Lesnar.
Three sources noted that the encounter was real and not for show. It has been confirmed that things did not get physical between Lesnar and Riddle.
